Friday's Funny~4 year old joke time
While at Disney World, we got the distinct privilege of listening in to Will & Haven telling jokes...it's sometimes hard to make out what they are saying but oh, it's hilarious!

Merry Christmas from the Millers!
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
there will be no end.
Isaiah 9:6-7
From our family to yours, we wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas!
To each family who has waited, many families who are waiting & for millions of children hoping for their forever families, this is for you...
[warning: it's a tear jerker]

Haven will get the unbelievable privilege of experiencing both Disneyland & Disneyworld in the same year!! Yes...she IS spoiled! We wonder if there will be many photo ops like below ;)

Referral!!!!
AHHHHH!!! We've been wanting to shout this from the mountain tops now for about 2 weeks...but God was telling us to be patient & thus after some finalization of paperwork, we are about to take the next step!
The day after...yep, you read that right...the day after we found out baby Miller was a boy, our agency from Texas called and introduced us to our 2nd daughter. It was quite surreal...I couldn't actually believe it was happening!
Our little girl is about 20 months old, both of her parents are deceased and thus she really needs a Mommy & Daddy. Her given name is Kukunda Patience and she is staying with a distant relative about 2 hours north of the capital city of Kampala. We plan on calling her Keziah Patience [Job 42]. While we would LOVE to be on a plane tomorrow to go get her, it most likely will be a minimum of 6 months until we get our travel/court dates. She is a happy child and while I cannot post a picture of her darling face...at least not yet...her eyes show the need for the love & acceptance & warmth that we as God's creation all long for...she needs a forever family.
Thank you, thank you for all your prayers, questions & conversations as we waited to meet Keziah. Your prayers & financial support has been and continues to be tremendous and we are humbled by each of you.
Prayer requests for the upcoming months:
2014 promises to hold quite a few changes for the Millers...thankfully we know who holds them.

Prayer requests for the upcoming months:
- Paperwork & medical exam to get processed and for the investigators, probation officers & judges to rule in Keziah's best interest.
- Our family dynamics and timing with baby boy on the way [due 4-1-14], Haven's adjustments & the details to fall into place.
- Continued financial provisions through the next paperwork and travel phases.

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Miller/Schlipf Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving Day with the Miller & Schlipf families at Uncle Art & Aunt Twyla's...the kids played, we ate a ridiculous amount of food & good times were had!
Aunt Twyla's basement is SUPER FUN!
little Brooks (Brent & Janelle's youngest)
the older kiddos learned the art of playing Euchre (sp?)
And they also learned one of my favorite games, Dutch Blitz!
And yes...I was buckets :)

Kberger Thanksgiving
Last weekend we traveled to Iowa to spend a quick weekend with my family. While it wasn't all of us together, it was fun to see the "girls" as both Burkelle [16 months] & Aisley [18 months] have grown so much since our last summer visit in August.
