I always knew this day would come... :)

One of my/our favorite things to do in the morning or after a nap is to go in to get my little chabbering Punkers...she is so fun when she is ready to begin/continue her day. She is SO excited to see you, tell you about her night (which usually I already KNOW about), and let you in on her "conversations" with her animals.

Since Arlan has started back to school, this is one of the many things he has missed-so just the other day after a nap, he took a few pictures....enjoy!

Early Fall Party

This past Friday we were privileged to host several friends from Gridley for an outdoor "Early Fall Party". I didn't want to completely have a Fall theme as it's only early September after all, and one shouldn't get too anxious but it's too late in the summer to have a full blown summer garden party. I do love Fall-don't get me wrong! I just hate thinking about what happens after Fall :)

Labor Day weekend

Last weekend Haven and I traveled back to NW Iowa with 2 family friends from Central IL to see the family...it was a great weekend! Arlan stayed back in Gridley to help his family get ready for harvest. It was a pleasant ride there and back as the company & conversation were never dull.
It was great to see the cousins together & also catch up with some of my Doorneweerd family, I don't get to see too often-even Aunt Lavonne from Phoenix was there for the weekend!

Why does everyone think they should wear a bikini? ;)

This was taken in the Dominican Republic last July...you know somewhere out there this woman has children, probably grandchildren (by our best age guess), and even though I was 6 months pregnant and possibly could have looked just as good or better, yet I restrained myself (smirk-smirk, wink-wink) and donned my tankini.

Lesson learned? God made all kinds & one does not HAVE to wear a bikini ;)
